Winter Recipes

Bone broth - Nourish yourself and your loved ones to the bone. Enhance your immune system and support healthy cells with this nutrient-dense broth. Use it in your favorite soup recipes, drink it as a tea, steam some veggies and toss 'em in, or freeze it in large cubes for later use. For a cancer-kick, add mushrooms like maitake, shiitake, reiki, and turkey tails.

Fire cider - Starting to fight something off? Punch germs in the face with this age-old, stimulating and strongly anti-microbial natural medicine. Not only does it kill pathogens, but it boosts your immune system to speed up recovery. Make sure you still rest up!

Homemade Herbal hot chocolate - if you use butter, choose grass-fed! Yum yum...winter def needs a good hot chocolate recipe. Why not make it as good for you as it tastes?

Golden Milk - An awesome way to start the day. I recommend homemade nut kinds of milk, particularly Hemp! If you go for store-bought, choose a carrageenan-free version. Organic is preferred!

Fermented Hardy Veggies - Probiotics are important for our mood, cognition, digestion, immune system, and hormone balances. In short, we need them to be healthy and happy if we want to be! One of the best ways to support your microbiome is by replenishing it by eating fermented foods. Not only are fermentations a better way to store food and enhance the foods' nutrition, but it's also a fun way to spend time together when you're all cooped up indoors...and another thing to do with those carrots in the fridge!

Year-Round Goodness

Homemade Nut Kinds of milk - There are concerns that Carrageenan is carcinogenic (cancer-causing) and is known to cause inflammation in the gut. Further, store-bought nut kinds of milk often have many additives that alter the taste and quality of the milk. These are a few simple alternatives that allow you to control the quality and enhance the nutritional value of something you probably drink on a daily basis!

Homemade Jello - Make it with Vital Proteins Gelatin and you're making yourself a healthy snack!

Probiotic gummies - Great for you...and I guess you could share with the kids...

Homemade Marshmallows - Again, I recommend you try this with Vital Proteins Gelatin. You no longer have to feel guilty about eating the whole batch ;)
